Indicators Relevant for Indigenous Peoples: A Resource Book Launched in November 2008 in time for the International Technical Workshop on Indicators Relevant for Indigenous Peoples held in Baguio City, Philippines on 17-19 November, this resource book hopes to encourage more people to contribute to the work of developing indicators relevant to indigenous peoples.

NO RIGHTS! NO REDD!!POZNAN, POLAND, 9 DEC. - At around 12:30 noon, a few of us indigenous peoples were standing in front of the Elk Room where the informal meeting of the Contact Group of the UNFCCC's SBSTA (Subsidiary Body on Scientific and Technological Advice) Working Group on REDD (Reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries) were meeting. |

Summary Report of the Global Indigenous Peoples' Consultation on REDDSummary Report of the Global Indigenous Peoples' Consultation on REDD held last November 12 - 14, 2008 in Baguio City, Philippines. The consultation was attended by 24 indigenous participants from Asia, Pacific, Latin America, Africa and North America, with 17 representatives of NGOs and UN agencies. This consultation was organized by Tebtebba, UN University - Institute of Advanced Studies, Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity and the UN-REDD Programme. |
